No prior experience needed | This is a self-guided session
Minimum 2 people required for the workshop
11:00 am | 4:00 pm
Session Highlights
- Studio tour introducing you to the ceramic-making process and the different stages of a piece
- Choose from a 6-inch wall plate, 6-inch vase, pen holder or other forms available for the session
- A completely self-guided session where you can experiment with colours, patterns and ideas at your own pace
- A calm, creative environment designed to help you slow down, relax and enjoy the process
- Take your finished piece home with you at the end of the session
What to Expect from the Session
We begin with a brief introduction to the ceramic-making process and a guided studio tour, giving you an understanding of how ceramics move through the different stages of making.
The rest of the session is self-guided. We provide a bisque fired piece, acrylic colours and brushes, and you are free to paint in your own style and at your own pace.
While our team will be available if you need assistance, this is not an instructor-led painting class. The idea is to give you the space to explore your creativity without pressure.
Since the pieces are painted with acrylic colours and are not glaze-fired, they are not food safe and are intended for decorative use only.

Things to Be Mindful Of
To help us create a safe, enjoyable, and well-organized experience for everyone, please keep the following in mind:
- Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled session.
- Pre-booking is essential. NISO is a boutique pottery studio with an ongoing design and teaching practice. While this is primarily a self-guided session, we want to ensure our team has the time to welcome you, take you through the studio and introduce you to ceramics and the making process.
- The painting session itself is self-guided; our team will be available for basic assistance if required.
- Painted pieces are not food safe and should be used for decorative purposes only.
Experiences — Everything You Need to Know
Can I visit the studio to buy ceramics?
Yes.
Our studio shop is open from 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM.
We are closed on Mondays, and no prior reservation is required to visit the shop and browse or purchase ceramics.
Prior reservations are required for pottery sessions or if you would like to meet the team to discuss a custom ceramic order or our courses.
How long does the glazing and firing process take? And why does it take so long?
The complete process takes approximately one month.
This includes trimming, slow drying, bisque firing, sanding, washing, waxing, glazing, glaze firing and packing.
If you opt for delivery within India, you can expect to receive your finished piece within 40–50 days from the date of your workshop.
Please note that timelines can vary slightly depending on weather, drying conditions and kiln schedules.
What is your refund or cancellation policy?
Booking fees are non-refundable.
If you need to reschedule your session, please inform us at least 48 hours before your scheduled session.
Rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours' notice may not be accommodated.
Can my toddler or infant accompany me during the session?
Unfortunately, no.
As a working pottery studio with fragile objects, tools and equipment, we are unable to accommodate infants or toddlers during pottery sessions.
This helps ensure the safety of children while maintaining a focused and enjoyable learning environment for all participants.
